So, today I broke the 10,000 pageviews barrier, so I would really like to thanks everyone who watches me here in deviantart I really enjoy it here, and I have special thanks to the people who took the time to five me feedback on my works.

Also thanks to the people who support in me in my different activities - for everything from developing GIMP and in my attempts to support my country (Israel) and make people here see that "We are not the bad guys".

After some work, I'm proud to say that GIMP can now export PDF's using my new cairo-based pdf export plugin! Go check it out - it's in the main source repository in the master branch
(For those of you who don't know how to compile GIMP, if you are on linux google it since it's easy, and if you are on windows I'll try to post a guide later)

Comments and feedback are more than welcome - you have until 2.8 to affect how this plugin will work and which features it will have. Currently, it has:

• Support for multiple pages using multiple images using File->Create->Multiple-Paged PDF...
• Support for exporting text as text!!
• Support for resolutions

And it has the following optimizaiton options:

• Replace rectangles of a single color with a vector shape. This can dramatically decrease the file size (think of all the single-colored background layers that are now saved as vector instead as bitmap)
• Remove the alpha channel of layers where it's unused, to decrease the file size
• Discard layers which are not visible or are100% transparent
• Can either apply layer masks (to decrease the file size) or keep them (better quality pdf, bigger file size)

So I'm back (Probably then tenth time I say I'm back ) after a long time of lots of university stuff that took my time. What am I up to?
- Translating GIMP to Hebrew
- Learning to draw (Hopefully), and doing some inking
- Taking a course in computer graphics (the algorithms and programming aspects of computer graphics) on my next university semester

I submitted some new works recently, which I'd be really thankful If you check out (especially Carried away with clouds and Sun::Set)

After the huge mass of deviations I had to review (1000+), the only way out was to delete all the deviantWATCH messages, and so I visited the gallery of all the people I watch...
I'm still busy from the university but the amount of work should gradually decrease during the next month.

I was busy with university - first time I'm checking the account after a long time of inactivity. I saw I have 600 deviation to review
I'll try to view the latest, but I probably won't be able to view all of them (sorry - especially when I know some of you are watching my every move...).

So, here I am again. I disapper once in every several months and appera out of nowhere. So, what have I been up to?
1. Contributions to GIMP - GIMP will have a PDF plugin written by me soon, I'm nearly done with it and the developerss agreed to include it in GIMP. It will include multiple page support, bidirectional text, support for all the languages that are supported in GIMP (including Hebrew which is my language ).
In addition, I added a palette export script and some other stuff.
2. University - I'm studying Linear Algebra 2 (a long course about matrices and stuff) which is a bit boring but I have to do it as part of learning for B.Sc in computer science. I must say that it is going on well (much better than Infinitisimal Math ).
3. I ordered the OpenGL SuperBible (aka the 'bluebook') as part of getting serious with my vector art program. I decided to go for hardware accelerated program in order to solver performance problem (like some of those that inkscape has). It costed about 300 NIS (about 75$) and it weighs a ton I'll get it on sunday and I'll start showing off some demos.

As you already saw if you followed me, I'm a busy man (doing university and high-school at the same time) so I can't gaurantee when will be the next time I'll be here
